Beekeeping Essay Contest

The Beekeeping Essay Contest is sponsored by the The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees, Inc.
​For over 50 years, the American Beekeeping Federation has been serving the needs of the U.S. beekeeper. Any youth interested in participating in the contest must follow the instructions for the Texas 4-H selection process.  Email jcbarrett@ag.tamu.edu with questions on the beekeeping contest.

 

Essay Contest Application - Rules and Guidelines

 

The 4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest is a scholarship opportunity for 4-H members who enjoy bees and beekeeping. It involves preparing an essay on a bee or beekeeping related topic for the contest year.

 

The completed essay is submitted in compliance with the current rules and a grand prize winner is then selected from the entries submitted. Cash prizes at the local and state level! Read more below!

 

If you are an active 4-H member, our club could be an excellent resource for researching bees and beekeeping. You may even find yourself working with one of our experienced beekeepers as a mentor to gain additional knowledge for your 4-H essay project.

The Williamson County Area Beekeepers Association's mission is to promote beekeeping in Williamson County and surrounding areas. The WCABA mission is also to act on behalf of the beekeepers and the beekeeping industry on issues affecting the interests and the economic viability of the various sectors of the beekeeping industry.
